No Bucks County rep on Advisory Commission on African American Affairs

There are 14 new and five reappointed members of the Governor s Advisory Commission on African American Affairs, and while membership represents a wide swath of leadership, none of the members are from Bucks County. The omission is stark, especially when considering that nine of the members, or nearly half the entire makeup of the commission itself, are from Philadelphia. The other counties represented are Allegheny, Beaver, Dauphin, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Montgomery and Monroe. Altogether, nine of Pennsylvania s 67 counties have members. While not speaking directly to the lack of Bucks County representation, Wolf Administration spokesperson Lyndsay Kensinger said candidates from across the Commonwealth are considered for appointment to the commission, and that the commission seeks out candidates who are community leaders involved in some of  Wolf’s key priorities.
