Families and residents struggling to feed themselves through the pandemic have been handed a lifeline by a community larder that was set up in January this year. The community larder, which is being run by the CHAOS Group, provides a large selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, pasta, rice, eggs and various tinned goods, free of charge, for those who have found themselves in need during the Covid-19 outbreak. Dad of six Daniel Hammond is one up to 100 people who visited the larder last week in order to pick up vital food supplies to help his family stay fed.
