Meagre funds allocated for protection of wildlife sanctuaries in Gujarat: CAG

The funds released for protection, conservation, and management of protected areas between 2016-21 ranged between 11 to 21 per cent of the total funds released to the forest department, stated the countryโ€™s top audit watchdog in its report titled โ€˜Performance Audit of Protection, Conservation, and Management of Wildlife Sanctuaries in Gujarat.โ€™

Haryana failed to provide adequate, quality water to residents: CAG report

While assessing the quality of water supplied in six districts, the CAG found that chlorination for disinfecting the water was not detected in the samples at 12 out of 25 locations selected and was found to be more than the prescribed limit at 11 locations.
