HPE s stock ticks up slightly as it matches Wall Street s expectations

RIKEN and CEA extend agreement for collaborative research

On January 11, 2017, RIKEN and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) signed the CEA-RIKEN High Performance Computing and Computational Science agreement, a five-year agreement to strengthen their partnership in the areas of high-performance computing and computational science. A little more than five years later, on July 28, 2022, both sides elected to extend this agreement after holding the CEA/RIKEN bi-annual on High Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence workshop. They also added quantum computing to their collaborative research fields.

HPC Wales boosted by £2m European funding Labmate Online

At an event highlighting the impact of research enabled by High Performance Computing (HPC) in Wales, data experts, technology suppliers and policymakers gathered at the University of Cardiff’s new Abacws building, heard Economy Minister Vaughan Gething MS announce the provision of a further European Regional Development Fund of £2m to support HPC facilities and software engineering teams across all four Supercomputing Wales (SCW) universities: Cardiff, Swansea, Aberystwyth and Bangor.
