If Perinton officials have their way, the amount of New York City trash that Waste Management could legally dump at the High Acres Landfill would be cut in half under a proposed agreement between the company and the town. In practical terms, the deal, if agreed to by the company, would mean the landfill would take in roughly 100,000 fewer tons of trash than it did last year, according to town officials.
