DNA testing has finally led to the identification of a woman in a gruesome case: her decayed remains were found stuffed in a garment bag and discovered in Nevada, in 1978, before the case went cold

Nevada State Police announced Wednesday that the victim, who remained nameless for 45 years, has been identified as Florence Charleston thanks to advancements in DNA testing.

Ohio woman Florence Charleston was identified four-and-a-half decades after being found dead and buried in a shallow grave in Nevada.
