Donovan Hoyes, a junior accounting major from Sweet Springs, has received the top honor in an annual program that recognizes exemplary student employees at the University of Central Missouri. Hoyes received the Student Employee of the Year award in the ceremony conducted on April 8 by UCM’s Office of Human Resources.
In its March plenary session, the University of Central Missouri Board of Governors approved increases in student instructional tuition and general fees for academic year 2025 that were below the national rate of inflation. These were among many actions taken during the meeting, including honoring three members of the UCM community.
While seeking to maintain the most affordable education possible for students amid rising inflationary costs, the University of Central Missouri’s Board of Governors approved slight increases in instructional tuition and general fees Fiscal Year 2024. Action on these matters took place when the board met in its March 23 plenary session on campus.
