"The removal of this benefit takes away, for some, their entire reason for working here," firefighter Pete Simon told the board at a recent hearing.

The firefighters supported the DeSantis takeover of the Disney district -- and now they find out it came with canceling their free, lifetime passes to the park.

"All we’ve seen and heard is cuts...cuts to possible staffing, cuts to maintenance, and now cuts to benefits,” said Simon. “My only question is: What’s next?"
