Dabney Coleman, the mustachioed character actor who specialized in smarmy villains like the chauvinist boss in "9 to 5" and the nasty TV director in "Tootsie," has died.

Coleman played the sexist boss in the 1980 comedy 9 To 5 alongside Tomlin, and the nasty TV director in the 1982 satire Tootsie.

Dabney Coleman made his career playing villains alongside some of Hollywoods biggest stars. Lily Tomlin, Morgan Fairchild and Ben Stiller led tributes to the Boardwalk Empire actor.
