Former Fine Gael senator Eugene Regan has been reappointed by the Cabinet to the Court of Justice of the European Union. Mr Regan, a former Goldman Sachs non-executive director, was appointed to the €250,000 a year role by the last Fine Gael led Government in 2015. The annual colours match between Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin was due to take place yesterday. The match was postponed, not because of Covid-19 restrictions but because of supermarket panic buying.
