The Blankets for People campaign will run Jan. 8 to March 15 in Peterborough city and county. It also features a number of pop-up drop-off sessions at county arenas.
On Wednesday, property maintenance, including garbage removal, will be taking place at the temporary encampment site in the parking lots at Wolfe and Aylmer streets.
A clothing hub and supply depot will have participants and volunteers work together one day a week to clean, repair and package clothing and basic supplies to help the homeless.
The former Trinity United Church on Reid Street will host a daytime drop-in space year-round and overnight drop-in program from Oct. 1 to March 31 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
