According to Variety , he'll be composing music for an upcoming high school drama called The Fallout . "Finneas brought a level of empathy to the characters that could only come from a composer who is from the same generation," says The Fallout music supervisor, Peymon Maskan . Finneas does have some experience in the writing-music-for-films world -- he worked with his sister Billie Eilish on the theme for the new James Bond movie No Time to Die . Meanwhile, Arcade Fire 's score to the 2013 film
Finneas is set to score his first movie.
The songwriter and producer – who is Billie Eilish‘s older brother, collaborator and bandmate – will write the music for
The Fallout, a drama about the emotional aftermath of a high school tragedy.
As
Variety writes, the film “chronicles the lives of three teenagers so crippled from anxiety after a high school tragedy they can’t even leave their bedrooms, and the unique bond they share over the ensuing months”. It is actress Megan Park’s directorial debut and stars Jenna Ortega, Maddie Ziegler, Shailene Woodley, Julie Bowen and John Ortiz.

At just 23, Finneas has already accomplished a lot of major milestones for a singer, songwriter and producer. With sister Billie Eilish, he swept the top three categories of the 2020 Grammys (song of the year, record of the year and album of the year) and also won producer of the year (non-classical), making him the youngest producer to do so. He’s also the co-writer and producer of the theme song for the upcoming James Bond movie “No Time To Die.”
