Pacific Gas & Electric power lines sparked last summers Dixie Fire in Northern California that swept through five counties and burned more than 1,300 homes and other buildings, state fire officials said Tuesday.

PG&E is again under scrutiny for its role in wildfires after investigators determined the utility was at fault in the Dixie Fire.

A PG&E exec said the utility had 25% more crews available than models anticipated they would need for the storm. But he acknowledged those models fell short and that there would have to be “lessons learned.”
