(Photo: Sunthorn Pongpao) AYUTTHAYA: A knife-wielding man who ran amok at a petrol station in Phachi district was shot dead by two police officers who were also injured in the attack in the early hours of Saturday. Pol Col Kanthapong Ninkham, chief of Phachi police, said a fact-finding panel would be set up to look into the shooting. He promised to ensure justice for all sides. The man, identified later Theerakarn Maneewan, 41, arrived at the PTT station in downtown Pachi around 30 minutes past midnight. He pulled out a long knife and began chasing after people at the station and in front of a convenience store. Many people fled in panic.
