Investigating officer Ludi Schnelle said Imanuweli David had given police officers three addresses in Cape Town, Rustenburg and Bela Bela but none could be verified. Judgement on David’s bid for bail is expected on Friday.
The probe was centered on whether President Cyril Ramaphosa had to disclose the foreign currency estimated to be about R4 million stolen at his Phala Phala farm in 2020.
This comes in the wake of acting Public Protector, Advocate Kholeka Gcaleka, clearing President Cyril Ramaphosa of any wrongdoing in the Phala Phala farm matter.
