A Vietnam – Korea culture exchange programme was held in Hanoi on November 20 by the Foreign Ministry’s State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese (SCOV) in coordination with the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese and the Vietnamese Buddhist Cultural Centre in the Republic of Korea (RoK).
The beauty of Hanoi, which lies in its ancient sites and vibrant life, is featured in 200 paintings from artist Van Duong Thanh. The paintings are now on show at the “Hanoi in Van Duong Thanh’s paintings” exhibition organised to mark the 67th anniversary of Hanoi Liberation Day, on October 10.
Wires are usually seen and used for electrical purposes. To Pham Van Doanh in Dang Xa commune, Hanoi’s Gia Lam district, they have a very different use. Doanh has made bonsai by bending metal wires.
