Torrent Pharma Q3 net up by 18% to Rs 297 cr even as US revenues dip

Despite a 24 per cent hit on its US business, Ahmedabad-based Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd (TPL) registered an over 18 per cent growth in its consolidated net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2020. Torrent Pharma third quarter net profit up 18% at Rs 297 crore

Drug firm Torrent Pharmaceuticals on Monday reported an 18.32 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 297 crore for the quarter ended in December. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 251 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Torrent Pharma said in a filing to BSE. Drug firm AstraZeneca India on Monday said it has received marketing authorisation to use its anti-diabetic drug dapagliflozin for the treatment of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
