This week’s annual Full Moon Tours highlight the bone-chilling stories of death, disease and dismemberment during the brutal two-year occupation of Fort Phil Kearny along the “Bloody” Bozeman Trail.
Many residents and visitors have visited Fort Phil Kearny and learned about the daily life of soldiers and their families stationed there, but many people have not heard some of the grisly tales concerning disease, Red Cloud’s War and the accidents that happened in the isolated area.

On Tuesday, September 12, SCLT hosted an Explore History Tour of Eaton’s ranch. Attendees learned about the history of Eatons’ Ranch and the surrounding area, toured the grounds and some of the buildings, and experienced the ranch’s beautiful location along Wolf Creek.

On Saturday, August 26, the annual Story Days kicked off with a Fireman’s Breakfast, a pet run, and a parade. The weekend event actually started on Friday night with a cook-off and live music.
Grand Marshalls in the parade were Derrick and Peggy Burns riding in a horse-drawn carriage.
