The Independence-based company's Small Business Employment Index rose 0.1% last month, marking a modest turnaround after declines in the first two months of 2022.
The CBIZ Small Business Employment Index, compiled by Independence-based business services firm CBIZ Inc., was essentially flat last month, falling by a seasonally adjusted 0.09%. That was, though, an improvement from a 0.95% drop in January.
Employment rose by 678,000 in February, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday, although the number of accounting and bookkeeping jobs declined by 800.
