The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers standout said the tryouts went smoothly as far as observing strict health protocols is concerned.
In the photos she posted, Maraño and the rest of the players and coaching staff were seen wearing facemasks inside the court.
“I felt safe during the entire event cause everyone is disciplined enough to follow the safety guidelines,” she wrote.
“Though nakaka-miss makipag-apir after making an awesome score pero sige lang, let’s pray for that day where we can be able to make a high five or hug each other again.”

The Philippine National Volleyball Federation Inc. (PNVF) kicks off its 31
st Southeast Asian Games preparations by holding tryouts for indoor and beach volleyball teams starting Wednesday, April 28, at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
The tryouts will be held for one day for each team, with the women’s indoor going in first on Wednesday, followed by the men’s indoor on Thursday. Men’s and women’s beach volleyball players will try out on Friday.
Strict health protocols will be administered during the proceedings that include RT-PCR tests for participants and staff at the swab center at the Mall of Asia Arena last Monday and Tuesday.

Veteran spiker Jovelyn Gonzaga is giving up her slot in the national indoor volleyball team tryouts to take a new career path in beach volleyball.
In a social media post, the 29-year-old opposite hitter expressed her gratitude to the sport and the people who supported her over the past years.
“Thank you indoor volleyball! That was a great journey with you. For now it’s time for me to take a new route,” Gonzaga wrote along with a letter of invitation from the Philippine National Volleyball Federation Inc. (PNVF)
Among those appointed were Fe Mejia-Moran, Grace Antigua, Michael Verano, Rosemarie Prochina, Tina Salak and Odjie Mamon.
Mejia-Moran is part of the PH team that won three straight gold medals at the 1977, 1979 and 1981 Southeast Asian Games, while Antigua is also part of the gold-medal squad in the 1981 and 1985 SEAG.
Verano was part of the men’s team in the 1980s, while Mamon was also a former PH team member and coach of the University of Santo Tomas squad.
Prochina is a gold medalist at the 1993 SEAG, while Salak is a member of the 1995 SEAG silver medal squad.
Also part of the team are Oliver Mora, Rollie Delfino and Charo Soriano.
Alyssa Valdez has been tapped as chairperson of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation Inc.’s (PNVF) Athletes Commission following the creation of various commissions for the association.
