Brig-Gen Moyo National Hero
Decorated military commander, Brigadier-General Collin Moyo (Retired), who died in Harare last Friday, has been declared a National Hero.
Defence and War Veterans Affairs Minister Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri announced the status at Brig-Gen Moyo (Rtd)’s house in Harare yesterday.
“He has been declared a National Hero. We cannot tell you when he will be buried. We know that he did not die as a result of Covid-19. His burial is different from those who were Covid-19 positive.
“We are expected to have controlled numbers at the burial, so the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage will give us advice,” she said.

Mnangagwa’s daughter in conducting illicit deals, including defrauding a bank
of US$37 000.
However, her arrest followed a meeting held on Thursday in
Bindura to resolve the bitter mining wrangle with Maungwa where she reportedly
told some Mines ministry officials that she was given a special grant to mine
in Umfurudzi Game Park, including at Maungwa’s Wickman 23 Mine by the

ZIMBABWE Defence Forces (ZDF) commander General Phillip
Valerio Sibanda and State Security minister Owen Mudha Ncube have been
implicated in a messy mine ownership wrangle after Chantelle Chikafu, the woman
who masqueraded as President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s daughter ejected a Shamva miner
John Maungwa from his gold-rich claims, reportedly went around saying she
enjoyed protection from them.
Chikafu reportedly dropped Sibanda and Ncube’s names in
deciding to defy a High Court order evicting her from the mine located inside
Umfurudzi Game Park.
