The Peoples Bank of China (PBoC) cut the one-year loan prime rate (LPR) by 10 basis points to 3.45% this morning. Most new and outstanding loans are based on the one-year LPR. This comes after the PBoC unexpectedly cut its medium-term policy rate last week. The cut today was no surprise, although smaller than the 15bps expectation.
