The Pose star and Tony-winning singer is releasing a new pop album on his own terms. He will perform his one-night-only show at The Met in Philadelphia in June 1.

In a separate development, the musicians of the Pops are laying the groundwork for a new, separate pops ensemble.

Philly Pops has amended its lawsuit against the Philadelphia Orchestra and Kimmel Center to demand that it be permitted to reschedule its postponed shows at Verizon Hall and be permitted to host its 2023 Christmas concerts there. PHILADELPHIA – The Philly Pops has filed antitrust litigation against The Philadelphia Orchestra and The Kimmel Center, charging that the defendants engaged in anticompetitive conduct designed to monopolize the market for live symphonic popular concert music concerts in the Greater Philadelphia Metropolitan Area.

The American Federation of Musicians is seeking back payment of wages, late fees and pension contributions of about $313,472.
