Press Sports Editor sports@presspublications.com The name Contos is prestigious in wrestling circles in Northwest Ohio, if not the state as a whole, and it looks like the family has another great wrestler coming up through the ranks.

Genoa freshman Phoenix Contos came into the season already well-known, in part because of his last name — the Contos family is renowned for their various roles as wrestlers and coaches. So, expectations were already high.

Two wrestlers from Pennsylvania will go after state titles at 2pm

Last year, Genoa wrestling went 8-28 in dual meets, finished seventh in the Northern Buckeye Conference, eighth at the Division III sectional tournament and 26th at the district meet.
