According to Sunday World, a source close to the rapper claims that Nelli Tembe’s father and well-known businessman, Moses Tembe, has allegedly hired a private investigator to probe the circumstances around the death of his daughter.  AKA DEMANDS TEMBE FAMILY RETURN ROLEX AKA previously gifted his then fiancée with a snazzy Rolex. Another source has claimed that since he has been aware of the Tembe family hiring a private investigator, he has demanded that the family return the expensive gift.  The Rolex can be seen in the screenshot below in Nelli’s Instagram announcement post of the couple’s engagement in February 2021 to share a photo of her ring.

Detectives are investigating South African rapper AKA after his  fiancée allegedly fell to her death from the 10th floor of a luxurious five-star hotel while naked. Anele ‘Nelli’ Tembe, 22, who was engaged to AKA, real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes was found dead on Sunday morning outside the exclusive Pepperclub Hotel in Central Cape Town, just hours after the couple were seen dancing together in a local nightclub. AKA is one of South Africa’s wealthiest and most popular musicians who has bridged the country’s racial divide with a string of hit songs.  He and Nelli had been dating for just over a year and got engaged in February with plans to marry later this year.

A source confirmed to TshisaLIVE that Nelli's body left Cape Town and arrived at King Shaka International Airport on Wednesday morning, accompanied by her fiancé, rapper AKA. The star will be among mourners who will celebrate the life of Nelli at the memorial service on Thursday, which will be streamed live for people to pay their respects.

South African Hip Hop superstar AKA is receiving grief counselling following the tragic death of his 22-year-old fiancé Anele “Nellie” Tembe on Sunday morning.  According to a TshisaLIVE report citing publicist Phumza Nohashe, AKA (real name Kiernan Forbes) is “doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances”, after a statement released by the Forbes and Tembe families on Sunday said that he was “inconsolable”.  Police are continuing their investigation into the heart-wrenching incident in which Anele Tembe was killed after falling from one of the Pepperclub Hotel’s upper floors in Cape Town on Sunday 11 April.  Police investigation continues

  Nelli Tembe, the fiancée of popular South African hip hop artist, AKA, has died after she reportedly jumped out from the tenth floor of a hotel in the early hours of Sunday, April 11. The police said they are investigating the death of the 22-year-old lady which occurred at the five-star Pepperclub Hotel in central Cape Town. The details around the incident are still sketchy, but Western Cape SA Police spokesperson, Captain Fredierick  van Wyk said crime-scene experts were looking for clues at the hotel. “Cape Town Central police are investigating an inquest case after an incident at a hotel this morning at about 7.45am on the corners of Loop and Bloem streets, Cape Town CBD, where the body of a 22-year-old woman was found deceased,” he said in a statement.

Tragic reports have emerged on Sunday afternoon that Nellie Tembe – the 22-year-old fiancé of world famous hip hop artist AKA – has died after a horrific incident at the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town’s CBD.  Police confirmed that the body of an unnamed 22-year-old victim was found early on Sunday morning outside the popular five-star hotel, and TimesLIVE reported that AKA’s manager – Phumza Nohashe – had confirmed the death and said that the Forbes and Tembe families would release a statement in due course. AKA ‘inconsolable’ after Nelli Tembe tragically killed   South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson in the Western Cape, Captain FC van Wyk, said that police are investigating the tragic incident, but was not at liberty to provide further details on how exactly the young woman was killed.
