CocoNene celebrated the grand opening Monday of its new store at the Kīhei Kalama Village.
The store known for its made-in-Hawaiʻi products lost its flagship location on Front Street during the Aug. 8 Lahaina wildfire.
When asked how business has been since the Lahaina fire, Carlos Montano, owner of The Sun Spot in Kihei, pointed to his cash register log, which showed $0.00.
CocoNene, a local brand known for its made in Hawaii products, announced the grand opening of their new store in Māʻalaea, Maui at the Maui Harbor Shops. This new location marks a poignant milestone for the brand’s recovery journey after the loss of their Lahaina flagship store.
Less than 90 days after losing their flagship store in the Lāhainā wildfire, CocoNene is bouncing back with the opening of a new location at the Waikōloa Kings’ Shops on the Big Island.
