Feb 12, 2021 A 37-year-old man was in stable but critical condition at Maui Memorial Medical Center after he was stabbed early Thursday in the Piihana Farms area of Wailuku, police said. A woman called 911 at 1:34 a.m. Thursday to report that the victim, her boyfriend, had been attacked by another man. She told police the other man struck the victim with an object before grabbing and striking him multiple times with a machete. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries, police said. The 28-year-old suspect fled the area before officers arrived, police said. An investigation is continuing.
