Heading around downtown Phoenix or the northern part of the Valley? Construction crews will be closing down parts of the I-10 and the I-17 for road work this weekend. 

Here are some of the freeway restrictions and closures to know about as Arizona Department of Transporation officials continue road work this weekend:

Work on improvement projects will close or restrict some Phoenix-area freeways and ramps this weekend, Sept. 15-18, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).

The Arizona Department of Transportation has released its list of upcoming freeway closures and restrictions on tap for metro Phoenix this weekend.

Southbound Interstate 17 will be closed between Thunderbird and Pinnacle Peak roads from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for the pavement improvement project.
