I guess I never really knew Paul Greenberg. I worked with him, sure, and I was around him regularly in the newsroom in Pine Bluff, but I never really got to "know" him as a person.

After another top-10 result at Charlotte last weekend, Berry is ranked 19th in the Cup Series driver standings. Additionally, Berry leads the Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings, 36 markers ahead of second-place driver Carson Hocevar.

A third and final day of friendly aerial rivalry and flight displays began again Sunday morning with competitions that had originally been scheduled for Saturday but moved because of windy weather.

Two University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff students of merchandising, textiles and design recently attended the Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week in Bentonville, according to Yunru Shen, instructor of fashion and Fashion Network adviser for UAPB.

Pine Bluff native and World War I veteran Leroy Alfred Johnston was a member of the Harlem Hell Fighters military band that introduced jazz to Europe during the war. He also posthumously received the Purple Heart because his military record was deliberately altered.

When I worked for the federal government, I had the pleasure of working on a White House Economic Development (EZ/EC) Initiative. It was called the Federal Empowerment Zone program, administered through HUD and USDA but funded by HHS. During this experience, I learned the power of planning and the value of a comprehensive development plan.
