The devastating force of Category 4 Hurricane Ian has ravaged Sanibel Island in Florida, leaving flooded streets and torn-down houses in its wake. Roads were lambasted leaving the island cut off from everyone.
Hurricane Ian left at least 11 people in Florida dead as it cut a swath across the state. The storm, with top winds of 85 mph, is approaching the Carolinas.
Hundreds of residents were stranded on the Florida island and surrounded by severe flooding after the Sanibel Causeway collapsed into the Gulf of Mexico.
