PINE CITY, Minn. — Larry LaPalm, of Escanaba, was named to the President’s List at Pine Technical & Community College in Pine City, Minn.

The motion to go with ECMECC was passed unanimously by the board.

A recommendation for president will go to the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities on June 21.

The end of the 2023 legislative session brought exciting news for Pine Technical and Community College as a last-minute bonding bill brought the college over 20 million dollars. Pine Technical and Community College has announced a new scholarship opportunity for Mora High School students in the class of 2023 and 2024. The Kick Start scholarship has been extended to cover two years of tuition, and up to $1,000 for textbooks, tools, and supplies for eligible students. An information session for Mora students is scheduled from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5 at the high school.
