PARMA, Ohio A spate of high-profile crimes in Parma finds city leaders attempting to ease residents’ concerns.
“Unfortunately, no community is immune from the terrible things that happen in our world these days, but the good news is we’re served by great men and women in the Parma Police Department,” Parma Director of Public Safety Thomas Weinreich said.
“Our department is pretty effective in preventing crime. When things like this do happen, they’re also very effective in solving the crimes,” he said.

PARMA, Ohio (WOIO) - A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a shooting at a Parma bar.
The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested William Leigh Taylor Jr. on Wednesday, Parma Police said.
The shooting occurred Feb. 13 as four men were leaving the 3.14 Bar, according to police.
Parma Police said Taylor had been inside the bar with the victims.
As the victims got into their vehicle around 2:15 in the morning, Taylor approached and pointed a gun at them, police said.

PARMA, Ohio (WOIO) - Four men were shot at as they were leaving a State Road bar early Saturday morning.
Parma police said the gunman is a man who had been inside the 3.14 Bar with the victims, but is not known to them.
According to police, as the victims got into their vehicle around 2:15 a.m., the suspect approached and pointed a gun at them.
Three of the men jumped from the car and ran.
