An elderly man tried in vain to tear their pit bull from his wife as it mauled her to death in Port Elizabeth on Monday night.

AN emotional memorial service was held for Olebogeng Mosime (8) today.

On August 11, victim Munni, who works as a domestic help in the locality, was attacked by a Gurugram residents dog.

Police believed the canines, including pit bulls, escaped from the house through an open window.

Several dog breeds have been considered as dangerous and aggressive after a series of attacks, which claimed the lives of multiple civilians.

The two children were discharged from the hospital on Saturday.

Staff and pupils at Papenkuil Primary School struggled to hold back their tears during an emotional memorial service for dog attack victim Storm Nuku on Friday.

As per the resolution, anyone found rearing either of the two breeds will be fined up to Rs 5,000 and their pet will be confiscated.

In another incident of a Pitbull attack, a cow was attacked in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The owner of the cow rescued the animal after repeatedly hitting the Pitbull with a stick. The video has went viral on the internet.

Dog attack: It may be recalled that nearly half a dozen persons have been attacked by Pitbull dogs in different incidents over the past two months. An elderly lady succumbed to injuries in Lucknow in the month of July.
