The chances are pretty good that you will have to deal with fleas at some time during your catâs life. Fleas jump from place to place, from one cat to another and then possibly to you. Fleas usually prefer the hairiest places on a cat, but they can be found anywhere. Indoor only cats as well as outdoor cats get them.
Fleas can get into your house on your shoes, clothing, other pets or anything brought into the house from outside. Preventing an infestation is far easier than getting rid of one.

Dog parks are becoming more and more popular. Although they all come in various sizes and designs, they all have the same purpose.
They are a place where dogs can run free and socialize with other dogs. Dogs need to be both mentally and physically active. Dogs used to spend their days hunting game, herding, protecting livestock and catching vermin.
However, dogs now spend most of their time sleeping on a soft bed or eating. No physical activity is required of them. No wonder they get bored and lonely. Then they find ways to use up their excess energy in the house. Frequently in ways that arenât acceptable.

Cats will sleep anywhere they want to. Sometimes it is on your bed. Sometimes you are all ready in it. Is it OK if your cat sleeps with you?
There is very low risk of getting a disease from your cat, but if she is showing any signs of illness such as hair loss, skin rashes or a cough take her to your vet. Have her checked regularly to be sure she is healthy and free of worms and fleas.
Keep her out of the nursery. Itâs not a good idea for a cat to sleep with a baby because there is a slight risk that she could unintentionally suffocate a baby by sleeping on its chest or face. If your cat is startled, she could scratch, bite or trample the baby as she tries to run away.

You are probably spring cleaning your house about now or are at least thinking about it. While youâre cleaning your house, why donât you spring clean your dog? She no doubt needs it, too.
Go through the shelves and cupboards where your keep your dogâs food and treats. Check the expiration dates. If anything has passed its time, throw it out. Do the same thing with any of your dogâs medications. Replace any of the items you had to get rid of the next time you go shopping. Do you need dog shampoo or conditioner, ear cleaner or tick and flea treatment? Does your dog need a new brush, comb or nail trimmer? Now is a good time to get her new ones. Also, you can restock your first aid kit with fresh items.
