The Plainview Area United Way received a $15,033 donation from Amigos.

Plainview Area United Way collected a $15,033 check from Amigos last week.
“It’s the biggest corporate donation for (Plainview Area) United Way,” said Teresa Young, a PAUW campaign chair and executive board member.
Young and a team of other PAUW board members gathered at the store location last week for a photo to mark the collection of funds.
The United Family raised $500,000 this year for United Way chapters across the areas the store chain serves, including Plainview, according to a news release from United. The grocery chain gives to these organizations every year with money raised through the annual Jacky Pierce Charity Classic, which was cancelled this year as a result of COVID
