A Nigerian soldier, simply identified as Godwin has been accused of killing a resident of Marish village in the Bokkos local government area of Plateau State, Joseph Jelman. The incident came barely three days after SaharaReporters reported gunmen’s invasion into the state university. A top source who is the Chief from the community, Joel Jimwan confirmed Jelman’s death to SaharaReporters.
The Plateau Peace Practitioners Network (PPPN) has called for investigation into the attack on two communities of Bokkos and Mangu local government areas of Plateau State, where at least 15 persons were reportedly killed including a 200-level Computer Science student at the State University. It was learnt that the attack took place in Tilengpat and Butura communities of the LGA while the residents were sleeping, around 9pm on Thursday, shooting continuously.
