Elementary school kids in an after-school program at the Jewish Community Center in Niskayuna ran around the new playground Friday, laughing as they raced across the monkey bars, climbed to the top of the slide before going down it and zip-lined several feet.
“I love this playground,” one of the kids screamed before moving on to a new piece of equipment.
The Ernest & Gloria Kahn Playground for kids ages 5 to 12 opened within the last couple of weeks, replacing a 30-year-old playground, said Amy Landauer-Ruder, the chairwoman of the Playground Task Force, on Friday.
