Im annemarie green. This morning, Police Officials north of chicago will reportedly announce that an officer whose shooting death led to a massive manhunt actually killed himself. Lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz died two months ago and led to a search involving hundreds of officers. Wbbm has our report. Reporter the question for two long months, what happened to lieutenant g. I. Joe gliniewicz after he reported he was chasing twoe inging three men. My world got a little bit smaller with his passing. Reporter sources now tell us it appears to be a suicide. More than 400 cops initially searched for fugitives and residents were on edge. There were infighting amongst coroner mentioned details about the death. We are not going to comment on what the coroner said. We dont deal off of assumptions. We dont work case off of assumptions. We work cases off of facts. Theres rain on the north coast. For us theres a lot of cloud cover spilling over. That means temperatures are really mild. Everybody in the 50s. Sunlight it midtoupper 50s with the humidity factor really high. Mostly cloudy north, partly sunny south.
