usaa. what you re made of, we re made for. usaa maria: welcome back. the white house making it very clear friday it will not take part in the public impeachment hearings which resume tomorrow which it calls a charade that has wasted enough time. speaker nancy pelosi directed the house judiciary committee to move forward with drafting articles of impeachment against president trump, so what comes now? house minority leader kevin mccarthy joins me now, and it s great to see you. what do you have, nine legislative days left right now? nine legislative days left, and the democrats haven t done a budget, haven t funded the government, we ve got trade with united states, mexico and canada more than a year old, all of this hanging above us, nothing on prescription drugs, and the democrats have hinged their entire majority on the impeachment of this president. maria: what happens next? nancy pelosi came out last week said she prays for president trump, but she also wants to
to get any information or facts out. they re trying to change public opinion because they re desperate to keep votes when they actually bring this to the floor. maria: is that what this is about, changing public opinion? it is almost 20 years to the day since bill clinton was impeached. yep. i believe jerry nadler s been thinking about this day for 20 years, that he could actually come back and get a president. again, the sad part about this was clinton actually committed a crime, nixon actually committed a crime. there s been no crime thought about or proven in this case at all. in fact, the facts don t even equal up to it. we saw that last week with the law professors when they said, well, if this happens and this happens you just infer it. we re impeaching on inferred evidence? that s just not what you do. so, yeah, this is just a a race to the finish. but let me say this, the facts are not there. that s why they re just moving forward. they re not trying to do this. last week w
presidency. they ve done nothing beneficial for the american people. you know who may be the most valuable player for the republican party in the 2020 election cycle? adam schiff. maria: so in terms of the fisa abuse, we re going to get the report tomorrow. right. maria: michael horowitz testifies in front of your committee on wednesday. yes. maria: will we see there was exculpatory evidence held back from the fisa court in order to get a warrant to spy on carter page? we ll soon see. there s a pattern of where they ve manipulated the evidence to get a warrant. they ignored strong signals that christopher steele, the author of the dossier, was biased against trump. they withheld information from the court about how the dossier was created. they never informed the court that it was paid for by the democratic party and christopher steele hated trump s guts. i m looking for evidence of whether or not they manipulated the facts to get the warrant. and as to the counterintelligence in
maria: [inaudible] justification? well, we ll see, you know? it s been i mean, thus far i ve been convicted in the court of public opinion as a, by this terrorist court. i mean, this court is typically for terrorists. maria: and you got death threats, bottom line. et yeah. maria: carter, thank you. carter page. before he could even inspect the damage. that s how you do it right. usaa insurance is made just the way martin s family needs it - with hassle-free claims, he got paid before his neighbor even got started. because doing right by our members, that s what s right. usaa. what you re made of, we re made for. usaa
it s impossible to bring this case forward, in my view, fairly without us knowing who the whistleblower is and having a chance to cross-examine them. so if they don t call the whistleblower in the house, this thing is dead on arrival in the senate. maria: joining me right now is south carolina senator if lindsey graham, chairman of the senate judiciary committee, and we are thrilled to have you here in studio. thank you. maria: thank you so much for being here. is it still dead on arrival unless you hear from the whistleblower? well, the whole process is illegitimate in the house. it s not just the whistleblower. you don t want to create a situation where anonymous person can start impeachment proceedings against the president of the united states. you can t get a parking ticket based on that anonymous allegation. the hearings were held behind closed doors, the intel committee gathered all the facts, the president s lawyer was never allowed to participate. they have to call witne
