According to the secretary general, there are problems but they are being addressed. “We do not hide the problems. These problems are being discussed in a rather frank atmosphere in order to find common ways to solve them. We hope that solutions will be found,” he added.
Six issues have been submitted for discussion. The plenipotentiaries will hear information on Kyrgyzstan's presidency in the CIS in 2023, analyze the implementation of the plan of main measures to implement the CIS further development concept.
The event was attended by representatives of financial intelligence of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and also employees of the International Training and Methodology Center for Financial Monitoring, the Eurasian Economic Commission and the China Anti-Money Laundering Monitoring and Analysis Center.
“The meeting of the CIS heads of government will be an extraordinary one at the initiative of the Russian Federation. It is expected to be held in Moscow on 18 December on the initiative of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The prime ministers of the CIS countries will gather to exchange their assessments of the CIS activities at the end of the year, to discuss topical issues,” Sergei Lebedev said.
The regular meeting of the CIS plenipotentiaries is taking place at the CIS headquarters in Minsk on 29 August. The plenipotentiaries are expected to discuss the progress in the implementation of the action plan to hold the Year of the Russian Language as a Language of Interethnic Communication in the CIS in 2023.
