Deadline to register to vote for May primary is April 5
MANSFIELD - The deadline to register to vote or update a current address for the May 4 primary is April 5.
In Mansfield, two Republican candidates filed to run for council at-large, forcing a primary. While that s the sole contested race, all Republican contenders will appear on the ballot. There will not be a Democratic primary.
Two city levies are up for renewal: The PRIDE tax, which stands for Parks, Recreation, Illumination, Demolitions and Emergency Services, a one-quarter percent municipal income tax and the pothole haters tax. Both were overwhelmingly approved in 2017.
