The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, launched in September 2023 by PM Narendra Modi, has seen a significant participation of women, who make up over 95% of the trainees. Among the 0.35 million individuals trained so far, 68.76% are women. Despite enrolling 1.04 million individuals, the scheme falls short of its 3 million target. Notably, Karnataka has the highest beneficiary count, followed by Gujarat, J&K, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Maharashtra, UP, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.
