Information firsthand. all the information that i have, and i think most of us have, comes from an article that dr. ford gave that ult ready from an interview she gave in the "washington post." im not criticizing the "washington post," but i need to hear from dr. ford firsthand. point two, staff, both minority and majority staff for senate committees investigate allegations, alleged facts, all the time. we dont normally go to the fbi. we have a very good and not inexpensive majority staff and mi...

Weve seen conspiracy theories coming out, the "wall street journal" saying she misremembered. that is point one. point two, the republicans had the same problem in anita hill they need a theory and because there is a categorical deny from judge kavanaugh, he is not saying i blacked out and maybe things went too far or any of that. to so -- so it cant be dismissed as something that happens when you were 17. and not even saying i have remorse or different character. hes saying it did not happen. s...

Is you have to go back a little bit and look at the history of this. my father francis schaefer in the 1970s and 80s and me with his nep tiftic side started the pro-life movement with the series called whatever happened to the human race and to the present time i think the evangelical voter has become two things, first of all, driven mad by the issue of abortion and so much of an obsession, that they would do anything, including sanctifying a guy like roy moore, an alleged pedophile and an alleg...

Whatever the motive may be. but we dont see that in this particular article. and so i cant imagine why the department of justice would open an investigation. there just isnt a crime opinion thats point one. point two, i think its reprehensible for any chief executive to be using the department of justice to sort of ferret out the identity of somebody exercising first amendment rights. it is not his playground. its not his toy. it is the department of justice and they should be used to investigat...

Indispensable, and therefore im going to remain anonymous, but at the same time, im going to criticize my boss. even if its justified, and i dont know whether its justified or not. >> fair point. i get the having it both ways point. fair point. how about how the president is handling this? if it is a nothing-burger, way make so much ado about something that doesnt matter? having these people come forward, these apparent loyalty tests, you know, trying to do everything they can to unearth who is ...

>> true dat, chris. those should be the first people the president should look at. jason brings up a fair point. i worked for one of the mayors in the city of cleveland, and if you ever come to a point where you dont believe in an administration that much, you should absolutely leave. i think senator elizabeth warren brought up a good point that if enough of the cabinet believes that this president is a threat to our democracy, to the united states of america, then they should come out and come ...

Up today, the kids that he coaches, and they were there to show support. i hope he coaches them to be as evasive on the hoop court as he is about what he would be doing on the supreme court. point two, snark aside, this man may sit in judgment on a president on the issue of whether or not that president can be investigated, and kavanaugh has written a president should be immunized from any type of investigation. now he wont talk about why he wrote that then and how it squares with what he feels ...

Libertarian who didnt want to be patted down before getting on a plane? now he wants lie detector tests for an op-ed? the president says this is all meant to coincide with the hearings for supreme court nominee brett kavanaugh, though i bet kavanaugh welcomes the distraction to take attention away from his serial non-answers to senators. now, we have one of the critical lawmakers who is at the hearings, has a vote. republican senator from louisiana, member of the senate judiciary committee, sena...

Dont know who you can trust, then that impacts your ability to do the job. >> i hear you. >> and if i were the president, i would want to know who did this. >> let me ask you something -- >> now, that doesnt mean -- >> would you also take a look at why they said it, senator? if this happened to you, god forbid, on your staff, somebody came up and said something like this, wouldnt part of you say, why would they say this about me? why apparently are there so many around me who dont trust me? isnt...

Much and got dinged. since then, from the left and the right, they protect their nominees with numbers and non-questions and non-answers, and both parties play to it when in power. all right, now, a few takeaways for you. he had his basketball team show up today, the kids that he coaches, and they were there to show support. i hope he coaches them to be as evasive on the hoop court as he is about what he would be doing on the supreme court. point two, snark aside, this man may sit in judgment on...
