Residents in three townships will have a reason to head to the polls for the special election May 4.
Voters in Verona and Meade townships will each vote on whether to renew tax millage proposals, while Pointe Aux Barques township residents will vote on a bond proposal.
Meade Township has a tax limitation millage renewal that would be renewed at 1 mill, or $1 per $1,000 of taxable value, with the ballot language asking that this be renewed for either a three- or five-year-period. The funds would be used for road improvements, with the first year estimated to raise $39,299.
