Grammy-winning singer Anita Pointer, a founding member of the Pointer Sisters who had a string of hit songs in the 70s and 80s, has died of cancer at her home in Beverly Hills, her publicist said. She was 74.

Anita Pointer, one of the Grammy-winning Pointer Sisters whose string of pop, country and R&B hits in the 1970s and '80s included "I'm So Excited," "Jump (For My Love)" and "Fire," died of cancer on Saturday at age 74, her publicist said.

Andy has been in radio for over 40 years gracing the airwaves on rock, top 40 and country stations across the country and shows no signs of stopping. In addition to his love for radio he loves animals, traveling, yard work, relaxing and finding humor when it means the most.

Anita Pointer of the Pointer Sisters, four sibling singers who topped the charts and earned critical acclaim, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, at the age of 74, her publicist announced.

Pointer was surrounded by family at her Beverly Hills home when she died, publicist Roger Neal said.
