POLICE will record the statements of Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and PKR president Anwar Ibrahim in connection with a recent audio clip that purportedly contains their conversation, said Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador.
He said investigating officers were waiting for the right time to call them up to record their statements.

Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador urged Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and PKR chief Anwar Ibrahim to lodge police reports if the duo felt they had been slandered over claims involving a purported audio clip of a phone conversation between them.
Asked whether police would be recording statements from the two leaders, Abdul Hamid said they would do so when the time comes. Both parties, Anwar or Zahid, if they feel victimised or slandered, they can come.
