Late Odumakin: Sanwo-Olu releases fund, buses, others for burial

Lagos State Governor, Mr Sanwo-Olu has donated N5, 000, 000, three Coaster Buses, 1 Ambulance, 1 Siren to the Late Yinka Odumakin solidarity memorial organised by the Civil Society and Pro-Democracy Movement ahead of the Saturday burial ceremony.
It has also approved the deployment of heavy security back-up towards the success of the Solidarity Memorial initiated by Comrades and Associates of Odumakin for celebration and Immortalisation of the life and legacies of the deceased.

Representative of the Lagos-East Senatorial District at the upper chamber, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru has expressed his readiness to launch Traders’ Assistance, Scholarship and Bursary Scheme for indigent students across 16 local government areas in the state.
Abiru made the pronouncement at the formal launch of his bi-monthly financial empowerment programme tagged ‘COVID-19 Relief Financial Assistance Scheme’ designed to empower 2000 vulnerable persons financially in the district.
While addressing the large gathering comprising of beneficiaries, members of Governor’s Advisory Council, member of the House of Representatives, party chieftains and loyalists, Abiru said: “This intervention is one in the series of programmes targeted at the critical demography in our Senatorial district.

r Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this much at the Year 2021 International Women’s Day Celebration which held at the Police College Ground, Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja, on March 9.
The governor disclosed that the state government received the vaccines at 4am on Tuesday, March 9, noting that the vaccines have been kept in a safe place.
He assured Lagosians that the state government will soon commence the vaccinations in line with the scheduled guidelines laid down by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).
Governor Sanwo-Olu also implored Lagosians to continue to adhere to all the COVID-19 protocols like wearing of facemasks, washing and sanitising their hands and observing social distancing.
