A Morton Grove police officer was injured while putting out a fire at a condo on the night of Jan. 17 in the 6300 block of Lincoln Avenue. Morton Grove Fire Department District Chief Dan Gallagher said the officer used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire, caused by an air fryer. The officer was treated for smoke inhalation and was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park .
