Thousands of Cockroaches Released in Restaurant to Settle Debt Dispute
Patrons at a restaurant in Taipei, were recently shocked to see cockroaches crawling all over the place after thousands of them were released on the premises by two masked men.
On May 4th, two masked men entered the G House Taipei restaurant holding large bags filled with over 1,000 cockroaches, which they simply released at the reception desk on the second floor of the establishment, before fleeing the scene. Roaches started crawling on the floor, walls and furniture, and it wasn’t long before patrons enjoying their meals there started noticing them as well. Among the diners were policemen Taipei Police Department who were attending a banquet there, and they immediately created a task force to catch the perpetrators.
Taipei police hand in phones to prosecutors

Taipei Police Commissioner Chen Jia-chang (陳嘉昌) and former Songshan Precinct chief Lin Chih-cheng (林志誠) yesterday reported to the Taipei District Prosecutors’ Office and handed over their mobile phones amid an investigation into an alleged cover-up by police.
On April 16, about 10 people stormed into the Zhonglun Police Station in Songshan Precinct as they pursued a training instructor after an argument and damaged a computer in the process.
No arrests or charges were bought against the 10.

Songshan Precinct chief removed after damage to station

The National Police Agency (NPA) yesterday removed Lin Chih-cheng (林志誠) from his post as Taipei Songshan Precinct chief because of an incident at the precinct’s Zhonglun Police Station in which a group of young men were released without being charged after causing damage at the station.
At about 2am on April 16, a physical training instructor at the precinct named Yang Chung-li (楊忠蒞), 49, was chased into the station after an argument with a group of 10 men who were out drinking.
Yang had also been drinking, and said he had been on his way to the station at the time to rest.
