The Police arrested a total of six people suspected of being involved in two shootings in Rotterdam on Saturday night. Five men aged between 19 and 35, all from Schiedam, were arrested after shooting at a house in the Kerkhoflaan in Crooswijk at around 4 a.m. However, no one was injured and no one was present in the house.
A 28-year-old man suffered an injury to his leg in a shooting on Minosstraat in Rotterdam. According to the police, three men fled after the shooting. However, no one has been arrested yet. Shortly before 5 p.m., shots were fired at the intersection of Mathenesserlaan and 's-Gravendijkwal in Rotterdam's Oude Westen district. The 28-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound in his leg on Sint-Mariastraat. The police were quickly on the scene and provided first aid. The young man was then taken to hospital.
There was an explosion in a business premises in the Koninginnestraat in Vlaardingen on Friday evening. According to the police, no one was injured. However, the facade of the building was badly damaged.
Police arrested a resident of The Hague on Monday in connection with the fatal shootings of three people in Rotterdam. The man is not believed to have been directly involved in the incident on September 28, in which a mother and her daughter were killed, as was a doctor who worked as a teacher at the Erasmus Medical Center.
